Trailers, Cinematics, and Cutscenes

State of Decay 2: Homecoming DLC (Marketing Trailer)

I wrote the script and worked with our Marketing department to edit and finalize this video.

Marvel Heroes (Opening Cinematic)

I co-authored (with Brian Michael Bendis) the opening cinematic for the original game’s release, and I worked with Art Director Josh Book on final edits & timing.

Marvel Heroes (Motion Comic Cutscenes)

I co-authored (with Brian Michael Bendis) all in-game motion comic cutscenes for the original game’s release (in this collection, all videos for Act00 through 03), and I had sole authorial credit for certain cutscenes (including all scenes labeled Act04 Ch09 in this collection).  I’m particularly proud of the TASKMASTER INSTITUTE video (Act01 CH02).

 

Game Dialogue

Since 2010, I’ve written or edited tens of thousands of lines of VO dialogue (including every line for the 2013 launch of Marvel Heroes, and for State of Decay 2 and its DLC). Here are some samples.

State of Decay 2: Homecoming (Trumbull Valley Broadcasts)

I wrote all VO dialogue for a series of radio broadcasts overheard by the player while exploring Trumbull Valley. Each set of broadcasts showcases story arcs featuring key NPCs from the franchise’s history, delivering closure on stories nearly a decade in the making.

(These gameplay videos occasionally miss the opening line of some exchanges, but they’re the best I can find.)

State of Decay 2: Homecoming (Sample Mission Dialogue)

I wrote all VO dialogue for the missions in this DLC. These gameplay videos follow “The Santos Legacy,” one of the many storylines we created for the game.

State of Decay 2: Homecoming (Radio Invitations)

I wrote all VO dialogue for a set of short radio broadcasts that can be heard while the player explores maps other than the new “Trumbull Valley” map added in the Homecoming DLC. Essentially, these are invitations to engage with new content.

State of Decay 2: Juggernaut Edition (Tutorial)

I wrote four unique versions of the tutorial dialogue, each showcasing a different pair of starting characters with their own personalities and relationships. This gameplay video features a brother and sister whose strained past comes out as they explore an abandoned refugee camp. (Skip to 6:27 for a key exchange.)
